Sean “Diddy” Combs finally spoke up during a dramatic moment in his ongoing criminal trial, where he faces charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting individuals for prostitution. The 55-year-old music icon, who has pleaded not guilty, turned to the courtroom gallery on May 20 with a message of love.
“I love you all,” he said aloud before court ended for the day, then added more quietly, “Yeah. Love.” Witnesses also heard him address a woman in the audience, reportedly referencing his 31-year-old son: “Please let Justin know I’m thinking of him.”
This isn’t the first time Combs has made emotional gestures during the proceedings. On May 13, courtroom sketches showed him forming a heart shape with his hands as he took his place at the defense table, signaling support to someone in the crowd.
Though Diddy has not yet testified, high-profile witnesses have already taken the stand—including singer Cassie Ventura, his former girlfriend of over 10 years. Ventura’s testimony has been one of the most shocking so far.
According to Ventura, Combs coerced her into attending what she described as “freak offs”—sex parties with paid escorts—despite suffering painful urinary tract infections. She said he threatened to leak private footage if she stopped participating.
“I had sores on my tongue from the drugs and from the acts I was forced into,” she testified, claiming she was made to engage in sexual activity involving lubricants, oil, and Astroglide even when in distress.
Ventura left the relationship in 2018, but told the court the fear of retaliation never left her.
“I always worried he would hurt me somehow,” she said. “Sean was incredibly charming, and he could be persuasive when he wanted something. I didn’t know what he was capable of.”
As the trial continues, the world watches closely—awaiting whether the once-revered mogul will take the stand in his own defense.
